Native Solutions is owned and operated by Elzetter Norris, a native of Pembroke and alumni of UNC Pembroke, graduating summa cum laude in 2021 with a master’s in clinical mental health counseling, as well as certification in play therapy and addiction counseling. Immediately following graduation, she also received training and certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In 2020 Elzetter won the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship award for addictions counselors. In 2023 Elzetter opened Native Solutions, serving all ages, and meeting multiple needs throughout North Carolina.
Elzetter Norris is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC-16677), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS-27337), and Clinical Supervisor Intern (CCS-22442) in North Carolina. She is also aspiring to be a Registered Play Therapist and a National Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. She is passionate about working with children, transitional aged youth, and adults from underserved populations. She is attentive and persistent in her efforts, advocating on behalf of those she serves. It is her goal to help empower those she serves to rise above life’s struggles, advocate for them, and above all, believe in them. Ultimately, help them to realize their potential and empower them to become contributing members of their community, focused on ensuring their success and as applicable, that of their support system, which lifts the potential of all society.
Elzetter is a part-time, adjunct faculty member at UNC Pembroke, lecturer/supervisor for the Department of Counseling's addiction specific internship since Fall 2024.
